PEOPLE across the region are being urged to get healthy in the workplace as part of a marathon challenge.
Tees Valley Sport is looking for volunteers to take up the North-East Million Mile Corporate Challenge, which encourages people to remain active at work.
The event takes place from September 9 to 16. Employees can walk or run as many miles as they want in that time - either in or outside the workplace.
The aim of the scheme is for people in the region to clock up a total of a million miles for the initiative.
Campaign manager Melissa Coyle said: "This is a great opportunity for business people to get fit while at work.
"Miles can be clocked by walking or running around the workplace, taking stairs instead of lifts and walking or running in their lunch hour.
"Measured routes will also be available to give people choices as to where they may like to walk."
Anyone interested in taking part is asked to contact Tees Valley Sport, on (01642) 342287
