A THEATRE club, which survived losing its main venue, is appealing for recruits.
Unless it can recruit more cast and production members, the Glenholme Theatre Club, which has staged productions in Crook for more than 25 years, is in danger of folding.
"We need desperately to attract new blood, both on and off stage, if we are to carry on," said long-standing member Bernard Lally.
"We have managed to find new venues to stage our productions since we lost our main stage at the civic hall when it was closed in a series of council cutbacks. But we are now badly in need of new members."
The club's production of the pantomime Mother Goose, due to be staged at Crook's St Catherine's Hall this Christmas, is in danger of not going ahead without more recruits.
