PEOPLE of all ages turned out to enjoy a family fun day on Darlington's Red Hall Estate yesterday.
The annual event, in its third year, was organised by the Red Hall Partnership and the Children's Fund.
Activities included fairground rides, slides, roundabouts and inflatables, and bingo and cream teas for the older residents.
There was also a football tournament.
The day-time events were held on the green in Headingley Crescent and the entertainment continued into the evening at Red Hall Community Centre, where residents were treated to a music and a buffet.
Sue Davison, community development worker for Darlington Borough Council, said: "We first held the fun day in the Golden Jubilee year, but then we took a year off and started again in 2004. They seem to have gone from strength to strength, with yesterday's event attracting more people, and we hope this will continue."
