A NUMBER of roadshows to promote awareness for carers will be held next month.
Durham Dales Action for Carers will hold the roadshows to give advice about support for carers. There will also be displays about energy efficiency, council tax, housing benefit and more.
Geoff Kelly, manager of Durham Dales Action for Carers, said: "Although members of the public are welcome to come along, it is hoped that the roadshows will be of particular interest to those members of the public who look after someone and provide unpaid care and support for a family member, neighbour or friend."
The roadshows are free and the first two take place between 10am and 2pm at Park Avenue Close, Crook, on Monday, September 12, and at Wheatbottom Community Centre on Tuesday, September 27.
