FIVE tenants are to contest for two seats on a Teesside housing board.
They will bid for places on the board of Tristar Homes, which manages Stockton Borough Council's housing, following an invitation to all council tenants to join as company directors.
The three Stockton candidates are Vera Walker, from the Victoria Estate Action Group, current tenant director Robert Forster, from Yarm, and Andrew Pallis, a local government senior technical officer, from Parkfield.
The Thornaby seat is being contested by current tenant director Lena Owens, and Mark Berry, a 41-year-old control room worker.
Jon Mallen-Beadle, of Tristar, said: "Ballot cards will be sent out to all secure tenants in early September.
"Completed cards will have to be returned by late September."
