A NEW partnership is providing a local access point for Business Link clients at Knaresborough library.
They can now access the Business Link website and relevant information for new and existing businesses in the area.
The franchisee co-ordinator for Business Link, Geoff Letby, said: "It has been decided to move the Local Access Point from Conyngham Hall to Knaresborough Library in the Market Place, which will provide a more accessible location.
"The Local Business Link Access Point provides, through a computer terminal, a remote means of accessing information on how to go about setting up a new business, support to enable an existing business to grow and develop and how to access detailed information on a wide range of business topics."
The county council's executive member for community services, Chris Metcalfe, added: "This demonstrates how we are developing services with partners that are fully joined up and customer focused."
As part of the council's public access strategy, its library and information centre at Knaresborough is to be fully redeveloped into a community resource centre later this year.
It will include an upgraded library and information service as well as dealing with face-to-face customer enquiries for the county council, Harrogate Borough Council and other agencies.
