A BUSINESSMAN travelled the world selling jewellery using fake passports, a court was told.
George McCormack, 51, had jewellery from Asia copied in Columbia and sold it on in South America and Europe.
But Newcastle Crown Court heard yesterday how the jetsetter made numerous international trips using fake documentation.
McCormack, of Oban Street, Jarrow, South Tyneside, admitted two charges of making a false statement to obtain a passport and possession of a false instrument with intent during an earlier hearing at South Tyneside Magistrates' Court.
He was due to be sentenced yesterday, but the judge adjourned the case until next Thursday so McCormack can provide documentation to prove he was carrying out legitimate work abroad.
McCormack was granted bail.
