POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a two-car collision.
The drivers of a Vauxhall Astra and a Nissan Micra were taken to James Cook University Hospital, Middlesbrough, after the head-on crash, outside Stewart Park at 10.30am on Monday.
Officers said the accident happened when the westbound Micra strayed into the path of the eastbound Astra in Ladgate Lane.
The 38-year-old Astra driver suffered cuts to his forehead and arm, and bruising. He was released from hospital after treatment.
The 80-year-old Micra driver suffered a fractured collarbone and was kept in hospital.
