A DARLINGTON property management company is investing almost £100,000 in an advanced IT system.
Town and City is using a system known as Tramps (Trace Micro Processor System), which will provide comprehensive details of project accounts and make it easier to track outstanding rental costs to be paid by tenants.
Town and City has invested an initial £21,000 in the first phase of the project, and is planning to invest further funds in other modules of the Tramps system.
These modules will forecast the value of properties and assess future demand for properties in specific areas of the North-East.
Tramps has been produced by IT solutions expert, Trace Group, which specialises in business software solutions for the financial, insurance, reinsurance and property markets.
Town and City approached Trace to develop the solution, which will go live at the company later this year.
Town and City is an independent property management company that specialises in residential block management throughout the North-East.
It was established in October 2002 by Peter Bigge, who has more than 15 years' experience in the property management sector.
Mr Bigge said: "This is a defining moment in the development of the company, as it will allow us to keep even tighter control over our accounts and manage each of our projects much more effectively.
"Our staff will be fully trained to use Tramps, which is a valuable piece of software and highly regarded within the industry.
"I am confident that the investment will help us to gain further work in key areas of the North-East."
