A FREE park and ride service aims to ease parking problems at a summer show on Teesside this weekend.
Buses will be provided to take people from the Oakwood Centre, in Durham Lane, Stockton, to the Stockton Summer Show, in Preston Park, Eaglescliffe.
Stockton Borough Council decided to run the service after receiving complaints from residents in Eaglescliffe following the balloon festival in the park earlier this summer.
Buses will be provided between 11am and 6pm on the show's two busiest days, this Sunday and Monday.
Councillor Alex Cunningham, Stockton council's cabinet member for education, leisure and cultural services, said: "We had a few complaints from local residents, who found that visitors to the recent balloon festival were blocking their driveways. While that was not a council event, we thought it best to ensure that it didn't happen again.
"We've asked the police to raise their profile when dealing with illegal or obstructive parking, and arranged a park and ride service for the Sunday and Monday, which are the event's busiest days."
The Stockton Summer Show is at Preston Park from Friday until Monday.
