A CELEBRITY auctioneer is helping to raise money for a community radio station.
Teesdale antiques expert David Harper, who co-hosts the Channel 4 antiques programme, Natural Born Dealers, is to take charge of an auction in aid of Radio Teesdale.
The auction, which takes place this evening, at the Jersey Farm Hotel, in Barnard Castle, has a diverse selection of items to be auctioned.
Peter Dixon, operations director for Radio Teesdale, said: "Radio Teesdale is currently run on an entirely voluntary basis, and any money raised will go towards our on-going running costs.
"The event itself should be great fun, as well as an opportunity for local people and businesses to support us."
The items pledged include a Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets DVD gold disc signed by the cast, a helicopter ride around Teesdale, golf at Brancepeth Castle and a luxury hamper.
People can also take their own items to be valued free by local antiques dealers during the viewing period from 5.30pm.
Entrance is free and the auction starts at 7pm and refreshments will be available.
