TEESSIDE will have a definite French flavour over the bank holiday weekend when traders from across the Channel set up their stalls.
For two days, 25 stalls will be in Stockton's Dovecot Street selling a variety of home grown French produce, including traditional wines, cheeses and bread.
They will then move on to Preston Park, in Eaglescliffe, for the remainder of the bank holiday, where the Stockton Summer Show will be held.
Councillor Bob Cook, Stockton Borough Council's cabinet member for regeneration and development, said: "Last year's market was extremely popular and we are expecting an even better turn out over the bank holiday weekend.
"It is a fantastic opportunity for people to sample different kinds of produce and to learn a little about the French culture."
The market will be trading in Dovecot Street between 9am and 4.30pm on Friday and Saturday this week, before moving to Preston Park on Sunday and Monday.
The Stockton Summer Show will be open at Preston Park on Sunday and Monday, between 11am and 5pm.
