ACTIVE families are being sought to provide homes for two dogs.
The Blue Cross animal adoption centre at Topcliffe, near Thirsk, has reopened after being closed for two weeks because of a virus.
Staff are trying to find homes for Danny, a year-old neutered collie-cross, and Molly, a year-old Staffie-whippet cross.
Staff said Danny would make a friendly companion for an active family. He is an intelligent dog and needs a home where he will be kept stimulated as he quickly becomes bored.
Molly is also a very active dog and would benefit from being with children over 12.
Centre manager Wendy Ellison said: "They are both sociable, happy dogs and will make great pets."
Anyone interested in offering either dog a home can call the centre on (01845) 577759.
