A COMPANY is to expand its West Auckland head office to meet rapid growth.

Ebac, the leading North-East manufacturer of watercoolers and dehumidifiers, is to create additional offices for its growing marketing and logistics operations.

In total, 18 members of staff will work in the new 121sq metre offices, which will be created in storage space. Ebac has redesigned areas to ensure the best use of space at the manufacturing complex.

In the past six months, Ebac has entered new sectors of the service industry, including home delivery of bottled mineral water and luxury spas.

The recent launch of its Bottled Water Direct product, and the future opening of Ebac's women-only spa, Waterfall, has created opportunities for expansion.

Additional investment is being made in communication systems across the company, including adding phone lines.

The home delivery service, which was launched in response to calls for healthier drinking options, has experienced huge demand for its home watercoolers and bottled mineral water across the region.

A key function of the staff who will be based in the new offices will be the further development of the Waterfall brand in Leeds, ahead of the opening of the first spa later this year.

The company says Waterfall will be the most exclusive luxury spa and pampering experience in the UK.

Company chairman John Elliott said: "The continuing growth we are generating at Ebac has led to the need to create additional office space. A significant part of this development is the utilisation of the space we already have to get the optimum benefit from our West Auckland base.

"The introduction of Bottled Water Direct and Waterfall, as well as the upcoming dehumidifier season, means that, on top of our existing commercial operations, we are in for more exciting times at Ebac."
