PEOPLE are guaranteed a bright weekend at an annual horticultural show.
Hartlepool Horticultural Show will feature champion carnations, dahlias, chrysanthemums, gladioli, fuchsias, sweet peas and vegetables.
The show is organised in conjunction with Hartlepool Borough Council and includes hundreds of prize exhibits from growers around the North-East.
There will also be a plant sale on both days, a display of floral art by Hartlepool and District Flower Club, and an exhibition of paintings from this year's Northumbria in Bloom children's calendar painting competition.
The event takes place at the Borough Hall on Hartlepool's Headland on Saturday, from 12.30pm to 5pm, and Sunday, from 11am to 4pm. Admission is free.
