THE RSPCA is hoping to find homes for three lurchers in its care.
The animals, all young bitches, are being kept at Deerness Kennels, Langley Moor. Their upkeep is being met by the charity's Durham branch.
"They are lovely natured and just daft as brushes,'' said a spokeswoman for the charity. "They are lovely dogs, really pretty looking, and have a lot of love to give the right person.''
Sky is an eight-month-old chocolage collie-whippet cross, Kizzy is about ten months old and is a black and tan whippet saluki and Summer is a tan whippet saluki aged about 14 months.
The RSPCA branch spokeswoman said all the dogs had been vaccinated, chipped and neutered and potential owners would be checked by the charity.
Anyone interested in offering the dogs a home is asked to call 0191-378 0439.
