SEVENTIES disco dancer Anthony Hutton became the winner of Big Brother's sixth series last night.

Following the closest final yet, the 23-year-old from Consett, County Durham, beat Eugene Sully to the reality television show's crown.

He jumped and danced around the house after Davina McCall revealed the results, shouting: "Oh my God."

But Eugene did not go home empty-handed - he had already bagged half the £100,000 cash prize from Big Brother.

Anthony also collected £50,000 for winning the Channel 4 contest after almost three months in the house.

As he stepped out of the house, Anthony, looking dapper in a pin-stripe suit, did some John Travolta-style disco moves.

Looking flabbergasted by his reception from the crowd, he hugged McCall and screamed: "That's unbelievable - off the scale".

He insisted that if he had been given the choice of taking half the prize money, as Eugene had on Wednesday, he would not have taken it.

"I would have had the mentality of Who Dares Wins," he said.

Even if he had been left without any money he would have been pleased with his decision, he added, saying: "You can't put a price on a good time."

Earlier on the final night, market researcher Kinga Karolczak, 20, and cardiac nurse Makosi Musambasi, 24, had been evicted after polling the fewest votes.

Eugene, 27, said he was pleased to come second, and added: "Anthony's a great person."
