DARLINGTON Football Club manager David Hodgson became a chef for a day to promote the club's latest off-field venture.
The club will start serving carveries at the Darlington Football Stadium from noon today, ahead of the game against Leyton Orient.
The carveries will continue on Saturday match days throughout the season in the Ron Greener and Platinum lounges, priced £4.99.
It is the latest in a series of initiatives launched by the club to involve fans as much as possible.
Season ticket holders in the South and West Stands have a voucher for a free carvery dinner, and tomorrow will be their first opportunity to use it.
Club chairman Stewart Davies said: "The fans' carveries are part of our move to open the club up to the supporters.
"The Football League is promoting real football for real fans and we believe Darlington Football Club is leading the way with many of the initiatives we have launched this season."
