POLICE are appealing for a missing teenager to get in touch to let them know he is safe.
Adam James Trussler, 14, left his home in Oakfield Lane, The Grove, Consett, County Durham, at 9.15am on Wednesday.
When last seen by his mother, Julie Todd, he was wearing a black and white hooded top, black Adidas tracksuit bottoms, with white stripes down the sides, and a black Adidas cap. He had a grey Puffa jacket with him.
PC Stephen Long said: "Adam disappeared shortly after returning from a family holiday in Scarborough.
"We have checked to see if he is with friends and our inquiries have drawn a blank.
"We don't think he has any money with him and he has taken no other possessions.
"His mother is very concerned for his well-being and we would urge him to get in touch with her and let her know he is safe.''
Adam is described as 5ft 6in, of slim build, with short cropped dark hair, a pale complexion and blue eyes.
He wears a stud in his left ear and a ring on his right index finger.
Anyone with any information regarding his whereabouts is asked to contact Consett police on 0845 606 0365.
