A MOTORIST was killed when he pulled out in front of a tanker, an inquest heard.
Alistair Parkin, 63, of Victoria Terrace, Lanchester, County Durham, was on the C10 near Burnhope - known locally as Jaw Blades bank - when he turned into the A691 - into the path of the tanker being driven Andrew Wood, from Great Ayton, near Middlesbrough.
Mr Parkin was pronounced dead at the scene on December 6 after suffering multiple injuriesg.
Deputy Coroner Brenda Davidson recorded a verdict of accidental death.
