KITE designs from all over the world will be on show at a County Durham landmark this weekend.
Some of the world's largest kites, including a 100-metre Chinese dragon kite, are on view at the third High Force Kite Festival in Upper Teesdale.
The festival is the highest kite festival in England and is to be attended by some of the country's top kite fliers.
The programme will include sport and power kite flying, displays of single, two and multi-line kites and the latest creations in soft kites.
The joint organiser, Malcolm Goodman, who is known as the Kiteman, from Middleton-in-Teesdale, said: "This is a wonderful chance to see a continuous display of kites in a beautiful part of Teesdale. It's an art gallery in the sky."
Noreen Liddle, from Raby Estates, said: "We are looking forward to hosting such a special event at High Force, which is the perfect setting for the festival.
"It's ideal to combine the fun of a festival with a short woodland walk to the falls."
The event takes place tomorrow and Sunday from 11am to 5pm, with a car park charge of £4 per car.
