THIRTY bungalows are to be built in Marske as part of a multi-million pound regeneration project.
Coast and Country Housing is looking for the best architects, developers and designers to work on the East Meadows estate..
The bungalows will replace ageing prefabricated homes that now fail to meet Government standards.
The housing association is inviting companies to tender for construction and design-related projects on the scheme. The assessment panel will include residents from the estate.
The project will introduce a range of properties, including mixed tenure housing, and will make more efficient use of space within the estate.
Chief executive of Coast and Country Housing Iain Sim said: "We have an excellent track record of delivering on previous investment projects and we plan to regenerate crucial areas of Redcar and Cleveland and make them an even more attractive place for residents.
"The redevelopment of the Marske site is just the start of that process.
"As part of our long-term remit, we aim to upgrade every Coast and Country property to meet the Decent Homes Standard set by the Government, and this regeneration programme will help us to fulfil this aim."
