FORMER workers at an engineering factory are to hold a reunion next month.
Bursgreen Ltd, in Fence Houses, was one of the country's leading producers of woodworking machinery.
The business was started by Fred Burroughs in 1948, trading as Houghton Engineers. The business thrived and at its peak employed 350 people, before, while trading under the name Wadkin Durham Ltd, it finally closed in 1993.
Former employees are invited to a reunion to be held at Dubmire Royal British Legion club in Fence Houses on September 2, starting at 7.30pm
