A TOURING art exhibition showcasing the views of young people living in Richmondshire has arrived at a new venue this week.
The exhibition, which features work by children who took part in the district council's Create Richmondshire project last year, has opened in Hawes.
"Youngsters were asked to illustrate their experiences of living here by producing paintings, drawings, films, songs and photos," said the council's policy officer, Rachel Bowles.
"More than 600 children took part and 250 pieces of work were submitted to the Create competition.
"In terms of consultation, this was a really successful way of finding out what young people think about life in Richmondshire and was much more interesting than a questionnaire."
The winning artwork was made into a portable display and launched as an exhibition at Richmond's Station Building in March. Since then it has appeared at Reeth School, Middleham Key Centre, Hunton Village Hall and the council's Swale House offices.
The exhibition will remain at the Countryside Museum, in Hawes, until August 22.
