AN intruder who broke into a house and stabbed a man with a kitchen knife has been warned he faces jail.
Paul David Thompson, 33, of Chester Street, Middlesbrough, appearing at Teesside Crown Court, admitted aggravated burglary.

A second charge of robbery during the same incident, which he denied, will remain on file.
Thompson was bailed for a pre-sentence report, but the judge, Recorder James Hyland told him: "Only a custodial sentence can be justified.
