Model mania is set to sweep a Shildon museum this weekend.
Locomotion: the National Railway Museum will host a celebration of model making, particularly model railways, on Saturday and Sunday.
Visitors will be able to see model trains, from table-top size up to the real thing, while tank engine Matthew Murray will be giving rides.
There will also be displays of real steam trains that can run in the garden and Meccano models in the collection section, along with small traction engines, boats and clocks.
Exhibitors are from throughout Britain, whilst local enthusiasts from Shildon and Bishop Auckland will display their craft.
The event runs from 10am to 5pm both days and admission is free.
