RUGBY ace Jonny Wilkinson took part in a celebrity work-out at a junior gym in the North-East as part of a new children's television series.
The England fly-half was at Activ8, in Gateshead Leisure Centre, to film Jonny's Hotshots. In each of the rugby skills programmes, the Newcastle Falcons star will coach boys and girls.
Each of the youngsters, aged from ten to 14, won the chance to meet their sporting hero by showing off their skills and explaining why they should be chosen.
The star said: "The game has been very good to me and I am delighted to be able to put something back."
Jonny's Hotshots will be shown on CBBC in the autumn. To find out more about Activ8, contact Gateshead Leisure Centre on 0191-433 5733.
