A CLINICAL testing company has been acquired for £8m in a management buy-out.
Pivotal Laboratories, of York, tests human patient samples and provides analytical services to the pharmaceutical and biotech industries worldwide.
It has been bought from founder Steve McAteer and its investors by its management team, led by managing director Jerry Boxall, sales director Peter Napier and IT director Sam Singh.
Northern Venture Managers will replace Capex as venture capital investor, alongside HSBC, which is providing acquisition finance and working capital facilities.
