POLICE are hunting for witnesses after two women were indecently assaulted in a North-East town.
The sex attacks happened within two hours of each other, in the same area of Darlington and were both on lone women.
The first happened at about 10.30pm on Saturday in Polam Road. The second was at 12.35am in the early hours of Sunday in nearby Grange Road.
Darlington Police are looking for anyone who witnessed the assaults as they try to find the attackers.
The male involved in the first attack was about 17, and dressed completely in white.
The second male is described as stocky and about 6ft.
Acting Sergeant Chris Durkin is investigating the incident.
He said: "We are not linking them at the moment, but the two have occurred in the same area and within about two hours, so there is a possibility they could be linked.
"We think there could be witnesses given the fact the attacks were at the weekend and one of them was quite early. There would have been a lot of people in the town that early."
Anyone who thinks they may be able to help police with their inquiries is asked to contact Acting Sgt Durkin on (0845) 6060365.
