Durham Coast League: The match of the day between second top Seaham Park and leaders Castle Eden will undoubtedly have a big bearing on the destination of the championship.
Seaham Park, enjoying their best season for many years, are just ten points off the top and secretary Billy Giblin is in no doubt as to the importance of today's fixture.
"It is a big, big game for both sides. They have the advantage but if we win we will be top tonight and it is an awful long time since the Park led the table" said Giblin.
Seaham will have a full strength side on duty including Alan Dick, who works in the South and is not available for every game.
Castle Eden make two changes to their line-up. Talented youngster John Spellman, who has been a leading scorer throughout the summer, cannot play but his father John is available.
Another of Castle Eden's promising young players, Richard Ede is also absent and his place is filled by Keith Bailey.
"Obviously, the result of today's fixture is critical to both clubs," claimed Castle Eden secretary Leo Taylor.
"We believe in taking every game as it comes and after today's programme there are still four matches to play so anything can happen."
Murton, who have led the table for most of the season, are down to third, 21 points off the top.
They are still handily placed though to take advantage of a slip-up by either of the two leading teams and at Washington are boosted by being able to name an unchanged XI.
The hosts, now in a comfortable position following an indifferent start to their first season in the league, also make no alteration to their line-up.
Fourth-top Silksworth are at home to Boldon CA and they have Paul Smailes joining his brother Phil in the team with Jordan Crake dropping into the second XI.
Boldon CA miss captain Gary Critchley and the side will be led by Kris Allen.
Michael Towns is also unavailable for Boldon who tomorrow meet Dawdon in the final of the Frank Lees Trophy at Ryhope.
Today, Dawdon are at home to Easington with Keith Laws deputising for Craig Price, who has football commitments with Blyth Spartans.
Houghton have a mountain to climb if they are to avoid the wooden spoon and at home to Ryhope welcome the return of Paul Howe and Paul Watson. The pair replace Craig McGrath and Adam Swansbury.
Chris Ford and Michael Buckingham return to first team action when Peterlee line up at home to Bill Quay.
Graeme Peart and Craig Gilmore leave the team while Bill Quay are at full strength.
