A HOODY-WEARING youth who is suspected of stealing a mobile phone from a bus is being sought by police.
On Tuesday, May 31, a passenger got on the 719 Go Ahead Northern service at Annfield Plain, at 12.35pm, but dropped her mobile before she got off the bus at Stanley.
At about 12.50pm, a man, aged between 18 and 21, got on the bus at Stanley and was seen by fellow passengers to pick up some keys and a mobile, a silver Samsung G330 worth £140.
When he got off at Durham bus station, he handed in the keys, but not the telephone.
At the time of the incident, the youth, who was clean-shaven with short dark hair, was wearing a dark-coloured cap, dark jacket and hoody.
