PRODUCE GOES ON DISPLAY: THE annual Skelton and Brotton Produce Show will be held on Saturday, August 27, in Skelton Civil Hall.
There will be categories for flowers, vegetables and homecrafts as well as flower arranging, photography and categories for children. Entries will be accepted from 9am to 10:30am and the event opens to the public at 12:30pm. Refreshments will be available. FUNDRAISING FESTIVAL: A floral and art festival is being held at the United Reformed Church, Station Road, Redcar, on the weekend of August 13 and 14 to raise funds for the Alzheimer's day centre which has been built at Guisborough. The displays can be viewed at the church from 10am until 4pm on both days.
FAME CALLS: Workshops in singing, dance and drama are being held at the Redcar Literary Institute, Lord Street, Redcar, from Monday until August 19, between 5.30pm and 8.30pm. FESTIVAL HELP: A three-day table top sale is being held in Saltburn Community Centre to raise funds for the resort's folk festival. The sale is being held on the weekend of August 12, 13 and 14, from 10am to 5pm.
DOG VIEWING: Saltburn Animal Rescue Association will be trying to find new homes for dogs in its care at an event this weekend. On Saturday, the pets will be on show between 10am and 1pm at the bandstand in the town.
FLOWER POWER: National judging of Saltburn's Britain in Bloom entries takes place next Tuesday between 3.15pm and 6pm.
