A LANDLORD is to create a summer attractions information point after being inspired by several customers who came across "hidden treasures" in the region.
Stuart Mann is providing the information in The Tawny Owl in Neasham Road, Darlington, because he said it was a common stopping-off point for people enjoying a day out.
He said: "There are some great places to visit in the local area, but quite often people don't really know about them.
"We are looking for guests in the know to tell us about their favourite attractions and we will chalk them up on one of the blackboards at the inn, and we are also looking for people who work at local points of interest to come forward and drop us off some information that we can give to guests."
He said the pub hoped to turn the information into a leaflet which could be distributed to visitors.
He has produced forms for guests to enter their suggestions and will also hold a prize draw for everybody who completes one.
