STAFF and residents celebrated a nursing home's tenth anniversary with a fancy dress party.
Staff at Barrington Lodge Nursing Home, Bishop Auckland, swapped their uniforms to come to work dressed as characters from fairytales and books to celebrate the home's birthday.
Residents were treated to a buffet and a full day of singing and dancing to mark the occasion.
Activity co-ordinator at the home Barbara Summers said: "We wanted to do something special to celebrate and we had a fantastic time.
"We are one big happy family here at Barrington Lodge, there is always such a lovely atmosphere.
"We are now looking forward to another ten years.''
