A YOUTH group's plans for the future have been given a boost with £130,000 in grants.
Ryedale Child and Youth Project supports more than 40 clubs working with children and young people.
Following three grants, it plans to expand and develop its work.
One grant, for £20,000, is from the North York Moors National Park and another is for £33,000, over two years, from the county council.
The biggest grant is £77,000 over three years from the National Lottery.
The first two will be used to create a scrap recycling store for youth clubs and schools.
Project manager Andy Brown said: "We will link up with a wide range of groups and schools to open up access to recycled materials, which can be used in all sorts of artwork."
The Lottery grant will be used on the Hole in the Wall arts centre being created in Burgate, Pickering. It is hoped the centre will be ready in two months.
Activities co-ordinator Jennie Brown said: "Getting funding to keep the work we do going is the hardest job.
"We have found that a lot of bids, not just our own, are turned down within the Ryedale area as it is not classed as an area of deprivation, despite the fact that there are many areas where children and young people are quite isolated."
