A CHURCH is celebrating its centenary year with a number of events.
Corporation Road Baptist Church, in Darlington, will hear sermons from former pastors at Sunday services, and the Stockton Tabernacle Choir will perform.
Everyone is welcome to attend the events, which will be held each Sunday at 10.30am and 6pm, to celebrate the church's 100th year. When it opened in 1905, the building, organ, fittings and hymn books cost £4,760.
A neighbouring building, known as the Tin Hut, opened in 1897, but was replaced in 1990 by the Baptist Church Centre.
The centre hosts numerous church activities, including the youth club, dance classes and prayer meetings.
