Sedgefield Borough Council is seeking the community's views on two reports.
The council has produced a Key Issues Paper and a Sustainability Appraisal Scoping Report, which are to form part of the council's new Local Development Framework.
The council has released the Key Issues Report for consultation, intended to generate discussion and identify key issues that will affect the borough over the next few years. Drop-in events will be held throughout the area where the public can view the documents.
Representations and objections must be made by September 5. Comments can be sent in writing to the Forward Planning Team, Neighbourhood Services, Sedgefield Borough Council, Council Offices, Spennymoor, DL16 6JQ.
The drop-in dates are:
* Spennymoor Town Hall today, from 2pm until 8pm;
* Shildon Town Council offices, on August 10, from 2pm until 8pm;
* Sedgefield Town Council offices, August 11, from 2pm to 8pm;
* Chilton Town Council offices, August 22, 2pm to 8pm;
* Cornforth Community Centre on August 23, from 2pm to 8pm;
* Mordon Village Hall on August 30, from 3pm to 7pm;
* Fishburn Community Centre on September 5, 2 to 8pm.
