TWIN sisters scored university degrees in identical subjects.
Khaleda and Reema Ayyash, from Darlington, graduated with honours degrees in medicine from the University of Leicester.
The twins, 21, both want to go on to study for PhDs, but plan different careers, Khaleda in cardiology and Reema as a surgeon.
Both agree that studying the same subject had advantages.
Reema said: "It was wonderful to have the companionship and support during difficult times, and someone to motivate you around exam time.
"In fast lectures, we would write half the notes each."
Khaleda said: "We realised we needed to spend some time apart and we did that by choosing different clinical partners."
