A NANNY goat that sailed on the Endeavour with Captain James Cook will take centrestage for a children's book.
Families in Middlesbrough are being given the chance to get involved in the project to produce the storybook with the help of local artist Bub Bacon.
SureStart West Middlesbrough is looking for children up to five years old to work on the tale, which will be put on display in the Captain Cook Birthplace Museum.
Volunteer families will take part in a story-building activity, followed by a workshop with Mr Bacon to produce the illustrations for the book.
Any families involved with SureStart West Middlesbrough who are interested in taking part should call Jenny Phillips on (01642) 515656 to book a place.
Workshops will run from 10am to noon, followed by a museum tour after lunch. The events will be held on Tuesday, August 16, Thursday 18 and Friday 19.
