MEMBERS of a residents' group are being advised that the time of their next meeting has been changed, following the death of a popular forum member.
The North Neighbourhood Consultative Forum meeting in Hartlepool has been changed following the death of representative Morris Nelson.
The meeting will still be held on Wednesday, at Throston Grange Community Centre, in Glamorgan Grove, but it will now take place at 6pm, rather than 2pm, as previously advertised.
The change has been made to enable people to attend Mr Nelson's funeral, which takes place earlier that afternoon at St Oswald's Church, in Brougham Terrace, Hartlepool, at 3pm.
Councillor Rob Cook, who chairs the forum, said: "Morris was well-liked by everyone. He contributed greatly towards the success of the forum and he will be sadly missed.
"As the old saying goes, he will be a hard act to follow. We offer our sincere condolences to his family."
