THIS summer's good growing weather is likely to see records broken at tomorrow's Egton Bridge Old Gooseberry Society Show, on the North York Moors.
The show, which dates back to 1800, is one of only four still surviving in Britain and is the oldest. Competitors aim is to grow the heaviest gooseberries, weighing in at the size of plums.
