WORK has started on the refurbishment of the Marks & Spencer store in Harrogate town centre.
The 72,000sq ft store, between Oxford Street and Cambridge Street, is being redesigned and the work is due to finish in early November.
It includes new lighting, clearer signs and "free-flow" walkways for shoppers, rather than restrictive corridors.
A company spokesman said: "The store will be easier to shop in as the different areas will be clearly signposted. Customers will also benefit from contemporary, spacious fitting rooms, better tills and a new customer service desk."
