RESIDENTS are celebrating after they blocked a pub's plan to extend opening hours.
Neighbours said some drinkers coming out of the Endeavour Hotel, in Middlesbrough, urinate in front gardens and damage cars.
Middlesbrough Council has refused a variation of the licence, which would have allowed the Newbridge Court premises to open from 10am to midnight, every day.
Resident Eleanor Pickersgill said: "We are a quiet residential area. There are people who have to get up for work the next morning and people with young children.
"When people come out of the Endeavour shouting and bawling, they wake everyone up. They are damaging cars as they come down the road.
"They have climbed all over my husband's car, scratched it and pulled the aerial. They smashed all the windows in my daughter's van. The police have been called numerous times.''
A spokeswoman for owner Mitchells and Butlers said the company was disappointed at the decision and was considering an appeal
