THE music, laughter and tears of the Second World War will be recalled in an afternoon of nostalgia, song and costume this weekend.
Actress Eileen Glenton, founding director of Newcastle's Tyne Theatre, and musician and actor Olly Burton will present We'll Meet Again at the DLI Museum and Durham Art Gallery at 2pm on Saturday.
As well as the programme of song, sketches and costumes from the 1940s, visitors will be able to handle real objects that were commonplace at the time, both from the battlefield and on the Home Front.
Tickets are available at the door and the price, £5 for adults, £4 for concessions, £3.25 for children and £3 for season ticket holders, also includes admission to the DLI and refreshments.
