YOUNG people with a range of learning and physical disabilities have been attending a textiles summer school in Darlington.
Two artists have been working with the youngsters to make a traditional Nomad tent - known as a yurt - by creating the basic wooden structure and felt covering.
It is the first time the summer school at Darlington's Beaumont Hill Special School Technology College has involved children with both profound and multiple difficulties and those with less severe learning difficulties.
The youngsters, aged 11 to 18, made musical instruments and created a tapestry to mark the event.
