TWO teams were bowled over by the success of an annual bowls match in Spennymoor.
The Rotary Clubs of Crook and Durham Bede competed in the traditional bowls match, which the latter won. Afterwards, the two sides retired to the Crook Rotary Club base, the Fir Tree Inn, for essential refreshments.
Ken Davison, from the Rotary Club of Crook, said: "After we were soundly thrashed, we went to the inn where a great meal was coupled with great fellowship."
