LEISURE centres have lined up a programme of events to keep youngsters busy throughout the summer holidays.
Hambleton District Council runs its Hyper Holidays scheme during each school break.
Last summer, it played host to more than 2,000 children.
This summer's activities, which will take place at leisure centres in Bedale, Northallerton, Stokesley and Thirsk, range from art to sports coaching and develop-ment.
The authority has teamed up with Middlesbrough Football Club, Yorkshire Cricket Club, Romanby Golf Club, North Yorkshire Fire Service and Bedale attraction Ariel Extreme to offer a variety of sports and games.
Basketball, badminton, hockey, football, tennis, trampolining, canoeing, swim-ming and netball coaching will also be on offer, as well as courses in drama and self-defence.
Full details of all the activities can be found in the Hyper Holidays brochure, which is available from any of the leisure centres.
