A GROUP of people with learning disabilities have celebrated completing an education and training course.
The 21 people received certificates for completing courses offered by the Teesside Region Open College Network.
They were able to choose from 11 occupation and employment courses, including horticulture, retail and health and safety at work.
The courses are designed to help individuals with learning difficulties and disabilities to improve their skills and chances of finding work.
The group worked at various locations in Darlington, including Nubeck Nursery, the caf at the Railway Centre and Museum and the shop at Mayflower Court self-contained flats.
The project was run by the Morrison Enterprise Trust and Darlington Borough Council.
Bryan Thistlethwaite, the council's cabinet member for adult services, said: "The project has been very successful and I wish to congratulate all those who were successful.
"The students were able to achieve recognised accreditation."
