BIKERS have rallied round and raised £200 for the Cleveland Search and Rescue Team.
Members of the Border Wings, the regional group of the Goldwing Owners' Club, are the guests at this weekend's 12th annual Engine and Vehicle Rally, in the grounds of Kirkleatham Museum.
Members handed over the money to the rescue service, which costs thousands of pounds a year to operate.
The 55-member rescue team is bringing one of its Land Rovers to the showground to try to attract further backing for the service.
Redcar minibus boss Paul Barnes, of Border Wings, said: "It is the ultimate touring motorcycle - the Rolls-Royce of motorbikes."
Billingham 500 Club will provide a restored bus offering free return transport from Redcar's Tourist Information Centre, on the Esplanade, to the museum on the hour from 10am to 5pm.
There will be more than 30 craft stalls, as well as trade stands, displays, vintage and classic cars, motorcycles, stationary engines, traction engines, commercial vehicles, tractors, and fairground and steam train rides.
Entry to the event, on Saturday and Sunday, costs £2.50 for adults, £1 for concessions, 50p for those aged five to 16 and free for under-fives. Gates will open from 10.30am to 4pm.
