A DRUG dealer who was found with a bag of heroin when she was stopped by police in the street has been jailed for more than five years.
Kerry Emerson, 27, already had two previous convictions for supplying or being concerned with the supply of the drug.
Teesside Crown Court was told that after being stopped on December 8 last year, police searched Emerson's home in Darlington and recovered £285, tinfoil, plastic food bags and digital scales.
She was also wearing a £500 bracelet, which along with a mobile phone, which she admitted had been stolen in a burglary.
Emerson, of Lewes Road, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply of 18.5g of heroin and a charge of receiving stolen goods.
Judge David Bryant sentenced her to five years and 221 days, with an additional 12 months to run concurrently for receiving stolen goods.
The judge confiscated the £285 and said it would be put to crime-fighting purposes and also ordered forfeiture and destruction of the drugs.
